Best small carry in the market. It's a little heavy but it needs to be since it's cambered in 40 cal.

The S&W Model 60 is a stainless steel classic J frame "snubbie" revolver. This is a traditional revolver with an exposed hammer allowing single action (cocked) shots, as well as double action (long, heavy trigger pull shots). These little guns aren't as light as the newer models such as the 442, 642, 340, etc. because it is stainless steel versus aluminum or scandium. This is both a blessing and a curse. The stainless steel finish holds up very well and the extra weight reduces felt recoil. I was quicker to get back on target for follow up shots in comparison of my 642. The exposed hammer makes pocket carry a no-no for fear of snagging the hammer spur on the draw. However, these are beautiful and slick shooting guns. The extra weight become an advantage if you decide to carry on the hip. The older versions of the Model 60 are rather different than the modern variations. The older ones aren't capable of handling +P loads. Be mindful of yours and read the manual . Either way, new or old, these things are sweet.
