Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permits

Concealed Carry ReciprocityTraveling often becomes a necessity of life. Work, family, or even leisure bring us to different states. Most of us armed citizens do not want to give up the privilege of carrying out of state. Some states, such as Wisconsin, do not have concealed carry reciprocity with all bordering states such as Minnesota. So if I have to travel just to the bordering state of Minnesota, what do I do? Luckily there is an easy and legal solution.

A few states, such as Arizona and Utah, offer non-resident permits. This means that despite living out of state, I can apply for a permit in Arizona or Utah (or a few other states).

Minnesota may not recognize my Wisconsin concealed carry permit, but it does recognize a Utah concealed carry permit.

Figure out what states you will be traveling with use the resources on our Reciprocity and Legislation page to find out which non-resident permit would be best for you.

The most popular non-resident permits with the widest acceptance for reciprocity include Arizona, Utah, and Florida.

Tip: organizations like https://arizonaconcealedcarry.com make it very easy and very affordable to do, even at your own home! Arizona is one of the most widely recognized non-resident permits. At Arizona Concealed Carry, you simply watch the course curriculum online and pass a brief exam. You can do it at your home and you will have all the requirements to legally apply for a permit.

Stay safe and carry on!
