Streamlight PT 2L – A great and affordable EDC light!

streamlight pt2l

Many armed citizens choose to carry not only a firearm as a part of their everyday carry routine, but also knives and/or lights as well. After doing some low light shooting events I decided to purchase a hand-held tactical light for occasional carry in my pocket or in my truck. My criteria were based around size and quality. Streamlight is a quality brand with a sound reputation so that was easy. They offer a wide variety of lights in a wide variety of size and lumens (light output). Since … [Read more...]

Critical Response Tactical Lo Pro Holster Review

lo pro holster

Critical Response Tactical sent CCA a Lo Pro holster (inside the waistband) and Q-Mag carrier and asked me to give it an honest review. Let me first start off by saying I am not associated with the nice folks over at CRT and dive right into our review! The Lo Pro holster and Q-Mag carrier are an all kydex construction. The fit, finish, and definition in the kydex is superb. The holster has adjustable retention (a big plus) and has a very smooth and predictable draw. For the testing I was … [Read more...]

PJ Kydex Holster Review

The holster we tested was an IWB clip on loop with a 15 degree forward cant for a S&W M&P 9c. I was very eager to get my hands on one as the custom nature and build to order philosophy comes with a … [Read more...]

Keep a tactical light or weapon mounted light for home defense purposes and practice with them to maintain your tactical advantage. Why use a tactical light for home defense? 1. You are familiar with the layout of your house so … [Read more...]

Quality Gear for Concealed Carry

The course of fire at our local defensive pistol league required a series of sprinting and running stairs and then wrestling our instructor prior to engaging the targets with an elevated heart rate. One of the participants was shooting a Kimber 1911 in a decent holster, but on a regular belt. During the running portion of the course of fire, he had his hand on his holster to keep the rig from flopping around. When I asked him about this after the course of fire, he said he didn’t trust his rig … [Read more...]
