Concealed Carry Pistol 4 Position Draw

Concealed Carry Almanac

A topic widely discussed in the range of concealed carry is proper drawing from a holster. The draw that we teach is a four-position draw. This dynamic draw from a holster in four positions allows the opportunity to shoot from a variety of different positions. Typically, if you’re involved in a self defense shooting your not going to be able to get in the comfortable weaver or isosceles stance to engage a target like you train standing still on the firing line. Not only does it clean, but boy oh boy does that slick up an action well! For my Kimber 1911 pistols, I use Mobil 1 Synethic, while on my plastic guns I use the ever famous Hoppe’s #9 and a tiny dot … [Read more...]

Safe Gun Storage

One aspect that gun owners forget, or neglect to consider is safe gun storage. This is a hot topic, since many gun owners simply want their guns available as fast as possible, at all times. As one of my instructors once mentioned to me, what if you walked into your home, and a burglar was standing facing you with the handgun you keep in your nightstand? That question sure got me. After that, I purchased a few safes. I bought a long gun safe which serves multiple purposes. I am able to store … [Read more...]
